The deal In October 2021, Sibur merged with the Tatarstan industrial group TAIF, becoming the owner of TGK-16 (power generation) and stakes in Nizhnekamskneftekhim and Kazanorgsintez (petrochemicals). The assets included in the perimeter of the deal were valued at $7 billion, TAIF shareholders received a 15% stake in Sibur and the company's bonds worth almost $3 billion.



Event In 2017, Mikhelson's structure acquired a 17% stake in Sibur from Kirill Shamalov, then a member of the company's board of directors.


Project In the north of Yamal, Novatek is building a liquefied natural gas plant, Arctic LNG-2, with a capacity of 19.8 million tons per year and worth $21.3 billion.


A figure of €150 million was estimated in 2017 for the reconstruction of GES-2, one of the projects of the V-A-C Mikhelson Art Fund. The House of Culture in the building of the former power plant opened in December 2021.
